Cooper Power Systems, a division of Cooper Industries plc (NYSE: CBE) and AT&T recently announced that Cooper Power Systems Smart Sensors™ have been recognized with the Best Smart Meter/Smart Grid Product Award at UtilitiesTelecom Council (UTC) 2010 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The award was given to Cooper Power Systems for Smart Sensors, including the company’s OutageAdvisor™ and VARAdvisor™, both of which use the AT&T wireless network to transmit information in real-time over the AT&T wireless network.
