Load Control Receivers Benefits Cooper Power Systems’ LCRs are frequency agile and frequency redundant ensuring maximum communication flexibility.
Please note that the exterior of the LCR 5000 and LCR3100 are identical.
Cooper Power Systems’ load control receivers are available with our patent pending technology known as TrueCycle. This cutting-edge technology earns the behavior of air conditioning loads over time in order to achieve more load reduction on over sized air conditioning units. TrueCycle predicts how much the customer’s air conditioner would have run during the control period if it were uncontrolled. TrueCycle then makes sure that air-conditioner is cycled in a manner that guarantees an appropriate demand response. Without TrueCycle, many over-sized central air conditioning systems would not yield significant or appropriate load reductions. Run-time cycle control is defined as a method of increasing the yield of cycled cooling control by adjusting the controlling cycle time on an individual cooling system basis. The control device typically makes this adjustment based on compressor run time data collected the hour prior to the start of the control period, applying the cycle rate to this run-time instead of clock time. Run-time control recognizes that site conditions (sun angle, shading, etc) and cooling equipment sizing have a large effect on the cooling requirements and that these parameters may change throughout the day. The control rate is applied to the run-time rather than the clock-time. This results in a stricter control of these oversized air conditioners, and in a more equitable sharing of the demand relief burden of the load control event.
As part of our industry leading Demand Response “Distributed Intelligence” capabilities, Cooper Power Systems’ LCRs provide the options of automatic Line Under Frequency (LUF) and Line Under Voltage (LUV) protection. These options are completely configurable “over the air” to meet each utility’s changing grid stability needs. Definable parameters include:
Once defined, these features provide specifically tailored protection against the compounding negative effects of stalled air conditioner load and other threats to grid stability. This option can also be enabled/disabled or configured by group broadcast messaging.
Cooper Power Systems’ Data Logging feature provides 90 days of hourly data with the following functions:
Additional Benefit Internal Wiring Components Cooper Power Systems’ LCRs are available with numerous wiring and mounting options to accommodate various installation requirements. Low Cost Installation Cooper Power System’s Single Enclosure LCR series was developed with National Installation Contractors. It is pre-wired single load LCR that offers a small foot print package with quick connect fittings for the quickest and most effective installation in single load, air conditioner control applications.
