Yukon’s Centralized Capacitor Control Server automates the process of managing power factor/voltage/VARs on the utility’s entire distribution system. This is achieved by allowing the operator to assign control algorithms at all levels of your grid. Algorithms for voltage and VAR management may be implemented at a regional level encompassing tens or hundreds of substations with the same algorithm or on a specific basis using individual phase data on an individual substation feeder. Alternatively, the operator may employ a hybrid system with a mixture of numerous options depending on the data available from the field.

A browser-based client server allows for secure access to system functionality. Tabular and one-line based interfaces are available based on the user preference. This powerful interface allows the operator to update the algorithms parameters or simply change a bank’s state.
